Arvest Bank in Central Arkansas once again participated in the Great Strides, a walk benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year’s walk took place on Saturday, May 18 at the Little Rock Zoo. With over 700 walkers participating, a new record, the walk raised a staggering $103,000 for cystic fibrosis!

This is the seventh year in which Arvest participated in fundraising for Great Strides, and each year Arvest continuously increases its support of this cause. This year, Arvest contributed over $20,000 in donations, not including sponsorships or personal donations from associates. Arvest Bank has been a proud supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation* for several years.

Cystic fibrosis is a chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 individuals in the U.S. and 70,000 worldwide. The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to develop the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

One of Arvest’s regional managers, Haskell Anderson, is once again the Chair of the Little Rock Great Strides walk. We appreciate Haskell’s leadership and dedication to this worthy cause.
